Orihuela
Costa, 30 January 2010
The
Charities assisted by the Parish of Cristo Resucitado
2009
Caritas
was formed on the Orihuela Costa, last May. Originally
it had four volunteers which grew to eleven by December.
Over the summer they found work for four people, three
of whom are still working although there are now seven
people waiting for a job.
The social help Caritas on the Costa has given includes
information and consultation concerning work, social
security, and domestic violence.
The physical help Caritas on the Costa has been able
to offer has been with food for nine families. One family
was helped with funds and another family also received
funds, through Caritas in Pilar de Horadada, for food
and warm winter clothing.
The
parish would like to thank the Club the International
of Retired and Pensioners Crucible U.D.P, its directors
and president Dª Dolores Fernandez Cumpian for
their contribution to the Christmas campaign - giving
food items, products for hygiene and cleanliness, diapers
and other items, to the value of 1000 €.
Christmas Campaign 2009:
Food items to the approximated value of € 700 and
€ 268.28 in cash were received during the campaign.
(Each item of 1 kilo or 1 litre- cost 1 euro to purchase).
We
would remind you that next year when we have this campaign
again, please take note of the “sell bye”
date as out of date goods can not be distributed.
