We are pleased to announce that our very first Beer Festival on the Orihuela Costa will be held on the temporary exhibition area by the parking area near the Mercadona at Playa Flamenca from the 3rd to the 19th of April 2009.

In a joint promotion, The Hotel Patri and Makawena S.L. have organised this Festival, which will be based on the traditional world-famous Oktoberfest, which is held in Munich every year. The Munich festival, which originated in 1810, now attracts millions of visitors every year.

Authentic ‘Oktoberfest’ bands and musicians will be brought to the Orihuela Costa for this special and unique event. Bavarian music and lots of different events have been organised for this Festival, which will bring the atmosphere and fun of the original October Festival to Spain. So, if you fancy a bit of thigh slapping, yodelling and general merriment, all washed down by authentic cold German beer in the warm sun, then do not miss this hugely enjoyable event.

The first traditional Christmas Market for Orihuela Costa will be held between December 13 and 24 behind Consum at la Zenia.

Different marquees will play host to a fantastic variety of local food, drink and craft traders. Plenty of parking is available nearby, so this is the perfect opportunity to get your present buying done in good time. Father Christmas will be doing the rounds giving presents to the children.

We are aiming to make this Christmas Market successful and if it works well we will repeat this every year. It would be nice if this Christmas market would become a symbol for the Orihuela Costa.
